Explore the “Clipper City” Tour

Start off your trip on top of the world – literally – at the Top of the World Observation Deck! The 360-panoramic view will have you sending pictures to all of your friends and family. After that awe-inspiring view, you’ll head to the Maryland Science Center. If you’re looking for a hands-off tour – this is not the place. “Your Body”, “Newton’s Ally”, and “Space Link” will have your students immersed in science in a way they can truly FEEL. Grab a bite in the cafeteria and digest during the latest IMAX presentation. Don’t forget to check out the inner harbor before dinner at Fell’s Point. After dinner, it’s time to get spooky with an evening ghost tour!

Rise and shine breakfast at the hotel starts your day before heading over to the USS Constellation. A fascinating visit and “hands-on” experience on a 19th-century ship. Walk in the footsteps of sailors and learn about life aboard the only Civil War-era vessel still afloat. Later in the morning, we will go to the National Aquarium to see Dolphin Discovery, the Atlantic Coral Reef and Blacktip Reef, another fabulous exhibit featuring sharks of all sizes. It’s also home to zebra sharks Zeke and Zoe and their 500-pound green sea turtle, Calypso. All hands-on at the Living Seashore gives everyone the opportunity to explore their amazing please touch pools. Make the Jellies Invasion, a stunning exhibit featuring 9 different species of these prehistoric survivors, your last exhibit because it’s right next to the Harbor Market Café Food Court, where you can dine on your own or pre-purchase a boxed lunch.

Kids just love a teacher that goes to bat for them…and Baltimore is the PERFECT as it is home of the Baltimore Orioles. While Camden Yards, hasn’t hosted a world series yet, it has been the backdrop to playoff series, the 1993 All-Star Game, a visit by the Pope and the record-breaking 2,131st consecutive game played by Cal Ripken Jr. in 1995. After a quick boxed lunch, explore a little more history at the Great Blacks in Wax – a great stop and short trip away to see the amazing lifelike figures in the Slavery Era, Magnificence of Africa, Islamic Africa and The Colonial Period Exhibits.
